Zodiac vs Black Dahlia
It's the movie Fincher tried desperatly to make. Black Dahlia directed by Brian De Palma comes out on and the trailer has just been released. So I think it's time to compare the two serial killer flicks. I want your opinions! Comment on your decision by using the following criteria:
The Book, Director, Cast & Screenwriter
The Book, Director, Cast & Screenwriter
Keep it civil people! The real winner will be revealed when both films grace our cinemas in the upcoming months.

There's no competition actually. De Palma has sunk years ago into the abyss. Did anyone watched his femme fatale? Simply preposterous.
As for Black Dhalia, it looks like LA Confidential. Which is not necessarily a good thing. And the casting is taking no risks.
Let's hope Mr Fincher make us forget that Oscar vehicle.
Gould
I would not go see this movie based on the trailer and knowing de palma's work i will not be seeing this movie at all, not even on disc, nor cable nor network tv, he is an utter waste of time as a director.
It's interesting that the same person who praised Fincher also slated Hartnett. Hartnett was first cast in The Black Dahlia when the director was none other than Mr Fincher.
So maybe Fincher likes Hartnett too or Fincher is a bad judge and they're both crap!
Ellroy's novel is stunning; De Palma should be back on form.
Fincher is a good director with the right material. De Palma is a master filmmaker. Sorry. No competition in here. I hope Fincher does a good movie and know De Palma will.
De Palma used to be a great director, you should remember movies like Carrie, Scarface, The Untouchables but after Mission Impossible, he has done nothing but crap (only the stilish Snake Eyes saves here), just to mention Mission To Mars is enough.
