THE TRAILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes hell has frozen over and we have a trailer!!!!!!!!!!!!
Watch it over and over and over again, loop it! It was well worth the wait if you ask me! I'm getting such a Goodfellas vibe from this trailer for some reason! And the official site has also gone live. Check out the cool animation at the beginning.

Also because I love you all so much and realise that not all of you can handle those big files on the Yahoo page - here is a YouTube version of the trailer.

PS. Thanks to all the bloggers who emailed the links to me while I was at work, esp Mark Bernier - I have a great feeling you'll be in the film mate! Also thanks to my sister who doesn't a clue on how to use a blog for posting the link for me while I was busy! Like I said more trailer analysis soon!

It's as the review said, a mix between jokes and serious thrills, just like Fight Club was.
Love everything, some shots are just amazing, and the trailer gives us so many informations: the schoolbuses are here (David if ever you read this, that's huge for a fan like me), the movie's still dark (notices all the movie picture were bright, and the trailer is mostly dark), the whole cast just looks extraordinary (Downey should have been oscar contender, like Ruffalo, I hate Paramount and Beyonce "can't act" Knowles).

It's just huge! Like always!

I'm a little dissapointed with the trailer. the port of san francisco shot is clearly CGI. as well as the SF bridge. and what's up with groovy music? but still things won't stop me from enjoying this flick. Mr. F is god!
check out the cool website too.

The trailer is great, and we'll probably see an improved version in the weeks to come.

As for the CGI shots, i agree, and hope they are only a rough version. They look so cheap.

The HD trailers are also now up on the apple quicktime trailers site, whilst the official site now says the trailer is 'coming soon' and does not link you to the yahoo movies page as it did yesterday !?
Check it for yourselves but I would say that the apple versions are noticeably poorer quality ~ darker picture, colours too saturated with everything given a kind of orange tinge. The Yahoo versions are definitely cooler looking.

thought I'd let you know msnmovies.com is still reporting the official release date as January 19th. Maybe it won't be pushed back that far so to speak?

Regards,
Justin

I saw an advanced screening of the zodiac last night. Very, very good. Intense to say the least, very graphic murder scenes, and overall a damn good movie.

I work in a bookstore and ordered the movie edition in a while ago because I just wanted to have one with the movie cover. It finally came in yesterday. I was very very pleasantly surprised to find an 18 page new commentary at the end of the book by Graysmith. The title is "A Supplemental Report to the Reader on David Fincher's Zodiac". If you are at all interested in this movie or the Zodiac Killer or David Fincher or Jake or Robert Downey jr or any of the cast you should get this book. The commentary is fascinating. It begins in 2004 and goes through casting and has a lot of on set special reports. It ends with the movie being almost completed. You really get a wonderful inside look at Fincher and the cast. I cannot speak highly enough of it. I would love to scan it all for you to read as it has so much cool information but I can't do that. If you want to order it from your favorite book store here is the isbn....0425212189. It is just a regular size mass market paper back and is 7.99. It has the cool new movie poster cover and on the cover it says in caps.. With New Material on the Making of the Movie. I just posted this on IMDB too. My name is Judy by the way.. don't know how to post here the right way.Get this book! the fans of Fincher will love the commentary.

I really could not do it justice. Just too much info. The book should be out the first week of January. Make sure you get the right one.. it has the new poster on the cover and says on the front cover that it has added commentary about the making of the movie. Also my main computer is down now.Got fried in the big storm here in Oregon a few days ago. Writing from kinkos so I can't post much at all. take care.. Judy
